I don't see how the NXT could have caused the clouding. Maybe you used the wrong pad? Some of the pads are more aggressive and are meant for polishing, not waxing. Also, isn't it normal to run the PC at or around 4-5 setting?

Sounds to me like its micro marring, which is normal in a two or three step process to restore the finish. You may need a more aggressive polish, and then a finishing polish then wax.

I'm sure the porter cable/detailers will chime in and make sense of it......
Good luck

Try a 50/50 mix of water-iso alcohol on an inconspicuous area that is hazed. Spray this on the area to see if the haze will be removed, then you will know if its the NXT or not.

Do you have any pics of the problem?

Is that to put on? Or remove? I use the applicator pad to put on & the light green/turquoise pad on speed 5-6 to remove.

Did you use NXT paste wax? or liquid wax? I'd never recommend using a paste wax with the PC, too much wasted product and you have the potential to swirl the paint. Also, you should never remove with the PC, remove with a quality microfiber towel by hand. If it's excess product, isopropyl alcohol and water should get the excess product off, but you'll also strip off the protection. This would mean you need to reapply the wax. If it's actual hazing from cutting into your clear coat, then you'll need an abrasive polish to remove it.

Hope this helps.

George

someone should read meguiars recommendations for pads and speed with their products. you should also read how to use each product. your best bet is to get the pc training video (http://www.autodetailingsolutions.co...ailing_dvd.htm) as it is a informative video.

here is the link to meguiars product and speed recommendations
http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums...ead.php?t=2524
(please note that g100 and pc are the same machine)

If it's excess product, it can help, might not fix everything though. Depends on how thick it was applied. Remember in the future, thinner is better. Removing a product when properly applied usually requires very little effort.

Good luck, keep us posted on what you do and what ends up working for you.

Not sure if you fixed your hazing, but.

Use a polish that is about a 5 on the abrasive scale with an orange pad. Speed 3 to spread, speed 5 to work, remove residue by hand with a MF towel.

Next use a polish that is a 2/3 with the white pad. Same speeds and removal.

Next clean everything off with 50/50 alch and water.

Now apply a glaze by hand and remove by hand.

Finally apply a good wax by hand and remove by hand.

If your car still has issues after that, you are probably just doing something wrong. PM me if you have any questions.

Take a picture of it and post it up so we can see exactly what it looks like. Better for troubleshooting.
