Leather Cleaning and Care Question
Leather Cleaning and Care Question
Alright guys. I'm sure this has been posted but here goes.......What is everyone using to clean and then care/condition the seats in their G's. I own a 2007 and she is turning 1 next month. Time to clean and conditon but I'm not even sure if it real leather.
I want to take advantage of George's offer this month and need to purchase some leather care products.
Thanks

Lots of info on here about leather. Consensus is that conditioners aren't going to help because of the coating on our leather.
Personally I use damp MF to wipe down, then dry, then 303 on the top. I have used Zaino leather quite a bit just for the smell, but that ran out and hasn't been replenished, and the 303 is probably a better protectant anyways. I wipe down the leather weekly when I wash, and apply 303 about twice a month.

First you going to need a good leather cleaner like zaino or lexol. Conditioners aren't going to do nothing to are leathers. Since we have protect leathers. Only a good UV protectant is the last things you should put on the leather.
Thanks all...
Buying Lexol cleaner before the special runs out. Already have the 303.

Basic Leather care – Automotive leather care is a subject surrounded with misinformation and myth, products such as leather (Saddle) soaps, oil-based Conditioners, Neats-foot oil, and Hide Food still prevail as top sellers, albeit most are made for equestrian tack, Leatherequi, an oil-based product is also a very popular, that is used in a market that is dominated by pigmented leather with an acrylic water-based polythene protective covering; which are very different leathers with completely differing care requirements. The exact reason why this is the case is unclear. It’s possible that there is an association with old world quality (i.e. European automobiles with leather upholstery and real burl wood interiors) with these types of products, despite the fact that the automotive industry has been using water-based polyurethane covered pigmented leather for many years -
