Langka - Paint Chip Repair
I purchased Langka's chip repair kit about a year ago when my bumper started getting chipped to hell. I never ended up using it since I decided to get the bumper repainted.
When detailing my G the other day, I saw my first chip on the middle of the hood. I pulled the "Langka" out and gave it a try. At first it wasn't working very well.
(The whole theory behind it is to "remove" excess paint blobs from the touch-up paint with a sort of rubbing compound).
I noticed the instructions indicated to let touch-up paint cure for between 1.5 hours to 3 days. I thought 3 days was riduculous and attempted to removed the excess touch-up paint after a few hours.
The product failed to perform, and the touch-up paint simply rubbed off.
I decided to try a much longer cure time for the touch up paint (I waited a full 24 hours the 2nd time around). I have to say the Langka product worked beyond my expectations. I can't even figure out where the chip is anymore.
The chip was fairly small, so I 'm not sure how it performs on larger chips. Also, I'm sure the metallic in my car (emerald mist) makes for an easier match when doing touch-ups.
I completely recommend this product to anyone who is as **** about the upkeep of their G as I am.
The website is www.langka.com, for anyone who is interested in more information about what I think is a great product.

Re: Langka - Paint Chip Repair
I used it on my black G as well and had exactly the same results. Some of my first chip repairs were visible but, with a little experience, I perfected the process. I recommend it.

Re: Langka - Paint Chip Repair
I agree Langka is a good easy to use product. Can't really mess-up; worst that you can do is remove too much touch-up paint -- then you just try again. On some really fine scratches, I waited one week before applying Langka.
Also, FYI, Mother's Paint Chip Repair Kit is same as Langka. Mother's has a distribution agreement with Langka to sell under Mother's name at retail level.
