Black G35 problem with detailing...

Hi guys,
this is the first time i came to this section, the reason to come on this section because i got a black sedan which is sooo hard to keep it clean and shine and the main point is that

MY FRIEND SCRATCHED MY CAR. Yesterday i went with him to a hand wash shop. My sedan was dusty and he thought it would be funny to write something on it, (he did)
then after the wash i can still see the word...its not deep scratch that you can see white metal. it is those that you can see it when light shine on it.

What is the best way to fix that thing.... >_<
so depressing...i cant say nothing...he is my friend sigh...idiot

first, i'd write the word "dummy" on your friend's forehead. then maybe you can try meguiar's scratch X. a lot of people have had luck with it. or try this thread.

Take a steel-wool sponge and write something on his car. It may not help your car, but you'll certainly feel better.

After that, try Scratch X...

If anyone did that to my g, they would definitely be in for a good "skull cracking".

I guess some people are just born idiots.......
How can a friend, or supposed friend, who knows you take extremely good care of your car, even think of being that blatantly stupid to write on your G?

I guess you need to gently take him by the hand, grab hold of the infamous writing finger..........AND SNAP IT OFF! then gently put it in his shirt pocket at the same time saying in a firm but understanding voice.....NO

Now that that's out of the way, any good mild polish will help you get your cars' finish back on track.....take your time and you will have an unblemished finish once again......

subrobo... try sending a PM to the handle, "wil," or maybe he will answer if he sees this thread. i believe he is a professional detailer and is eager to answer any questions. from what i've read, you don't need a buffer to apply scratch x. good luck.

I bet a cleaner-wax would take care of it. Scratch-X is too abrasive for such a problem. Or use some swirl remover.

With automotive products, you want to start with the least abrasive, then go up until you get a result. Not the other way around. Your clearcoat is about as thick as the cellophane on a pack of cigarettes.
