Harder to keep clean...

In the minds of the black and twilight blue owners, which of the 2 colors is harder to keep clean...Both I've heard are a pain in the ****...Which of the two do you feel will show more swirl marks, and minor chips and scratches over time? This will be a huge influence to my color choice...Thanks

Re: Harder to keep clean...

I would think that both are the same. I am a cleanoholic and I've owned 3 black cars now so I'm used to it.

They are the same man, I went for black, black is awesome, I like it better than the blue.

Re: Harder to keep clean...

which is harder to keep clean? it depends on which one has the willow interior. kidding. i also think they're the same, but some have said that maybe TB is just a tad easier to keep clean (hide swirls, chips, etc) since it has that pearl-ish look in its paint. good luck with your decision.

I got a black one and it's a bitch. I'm sure it's a close one though.

You should check on a product called Zano. My professor has a black 350 that looks stunning. He swears by it.

let me tell ya, TB is a bitch to keep clean too. If you think it would hide swirls and fine scratches easier think again. That's the only thing I don't like about the color. I got it because I thought it would be easier to keep clean, but damn I got tricked.

Re: Harder to keep clean...

I dont know but it sucks having to wash my car every 5 days just to keep it looking nice. PLus it sucks becasue I dont have the time to wash it every 5 days so I try once a week or at least once every 7-10 days. Although...I DID know what I was getting into getting a color like this.

Black kicks ***, it is work but its work we love to do, just
follow the proper car care , wash etc and don't let no stranger touch your car, they are the ones that usually put on the swirls. Use a good product like Klasse AIO and their Sealant
Glaze and you will be set to go.

TB is a bitch to keep clean, I would say just as hard as black. But when your keep it up, it looks amazing. Pop on some Zaino and your all set.

Re: Sealant + Cali Duster for dark colors

Got a silver G35, but other car is black BMW 740 (didn't want two dark cars).

Anyhow, I agree you should apply a good paint sealant like Zaino (which I use) or Klasse AIO and Sealant Glaze. I've also found that dusting the car every day (with the California Car Duster) really helps. If your car is garaged, then even with a dark color, you can avoid having to wash every 5 days by dusting daily. You don't notice the dust on the light colors as much, but on a dark car, even if it appears clean, you can see how much brighter the paint is after dusting.
