Steering wheel scuf***e

The previous owner of my '06 coupe managed to scrape off a bit of the black leather near the top of the steering wheel. Must have been wearing a ring that was rubbing against the wheel.

Anyone know of a quick/easy repair for this? There doesn't appear to be any cuts in the leather, just looks like it was rubbed off over time. Appreciate any suggestions.

Try filling the area with compound from a leather repair kit. Thats the only thing I can think of.
