Scratched window :(
Scratched window :(
I was on the highway behind a truck, I just got on the freeway actually and I think something from the truck flew of and hit my driver side window, now there is 2 small scratches about 2 millimeters each, anyone know how to fix this without going to a shop or at lease reduce the damage
And I also wanted to ask how to apply and buff of wax and also wash the car, is it better to use a circular motion or front and back motion to reduce swirl marks ?
Many thanks

Re: Scratched window :(
I was told by a local window repair shop that "fixes" can only be done on the windshield. They implied that any buffing of scratches on the other windows could possibly shatter the windows.
I'm not sure if they are full of it or not, but don't recommend risking without a second opnion.
Acually years ago, I had an Accord and a different shop told me the same thing.
Edited by gdupg35 on 05/06/04 12:47 AM.

Re: Scratched window :(
I heard the same as gdup... trying to buff out non-safety, thinner glass like that on our door windows isn't too great.
