Had the same thing on mine

My headlights had a haze on them as well and I bought Meguiar's Plastic Cleaner & Polish and it took care of it. I did it by hand and it worked fine but I imagine a buffer would be better if you have one. If you use the Meguiar's make sure the lenses are cool, use light pressure, and use a separate towel to wipe if off right away. Might take a few times but it ended up looking pretty good. Hope that helps.

Here's a good step-by-step tutorial on how to restore headlights.

If the lights are in decent condition, chances are you can get away with simply polishing. If the lights have been neglected and you really want to restore them, you can opt to wet sand the lens and follow up with a polish for maximum restoration.

If anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

George

I like the toothpaste idea - I've used it on my oak table that had white water spots on it and it worked great.

M105 works by pressure since it has non-diminishing abrasives, so make sure you are using a good amount of pressure. If you are, and it's not clearing up the headlights, it's possible the inside has hazed.

I did a sedan headlight yesterday, and it took maybe 20 seconds to clear it up with a less aggressive combo than you were using.

granted i wasnt using the same polish but mine came off with ease as soon as i turned it up to 6k rpms. are you sure your imperfections are on the outside and not the inside? which you would have to bake and open to fix..

This I am not sure, I think I will be painting my headlights so when I open them ill clean the inside. I took my DA (G110) to 6k and was putting a bit more pressure then before and absolutely nothing. I though I might of put too much M105 and it was lubricating and not really cutting so I cleaned what was on my lens had a little bit left on my pad and put a pea size drop on the pad and worked it in for a bit, it was started to powered so I worked it enough and absolutely no difference.

I cant feel anything on the outside is smooth, My lens has a light yellow haze to them and when the lights on they look like InLU's. Gerr want to clean them lol. I Might need to sand them. If I paint them Ill buy the the 3m lens restoration kit from Ace hardware if cleaning inside doesn't work.
