Hi All! I just got the Side Mirror blinker kit from JapanParts.com and I love it! It makes the car look great. One question for those who already have this mod installed, in the picture from the web site (http://www.japanparts.com/Pic/pic083/008-020.jpg)
It shows the light on and going all the way up, but on mine it doesn't. It just lights up the small little window on the bottom. Did I set this up wrong?

You're right, I just had mine installed today and they give the car a great look. I noticed the same thing as well when i turned them on, only that bottom part illuminates, then again it was very bright outside. As it gets darker i will test this out because the light is supposed to reflect off the rest of the panel giving that look that the whole things lights up (theorerically)

Hey G35sedan03! You got them on! Great! I thought the same about the reflecting part...doesn't work at night either! Oh well, no biggie it still makes that car stand out! You got to post a pic or two! congrats!

 

Jasi, thanks likewise to you. I will post pics as soon as my digital camera returns. I had to send it in to get repaired. or, tomorrow i'm meeting the G crew and I know several have digitals they bring along, probably Flex or protocav can hook me up with a couple of pics to post on here until I get my camera. I already tested the lights too in the dark, same results. The pics on the japan site could have been modified to show the whole thing on, who knows, but like you said, it gives the car that distinctive look!

It probably looks like that on their website because they used long exposure when they took the pictures. A long exposure might bring out more light out of it then a shorter one.
Check out the headlights in my sig below and see what happens when you do a 15sec exposure...

Thanks forthe input, since you put it that way, I can see how it looked they way it did on the website. I just thought they photoshopped the picture to make it look like that. Still though, it gives the car a great look. I've noticed from other G drivers that they do that double look when my turn signal is on so it's kind of funny to get that reaction. It's all about being unique in this copycat world!
