California Duster?
Re: California Duster?
They work great! I've used them (the same one, actually) for years without ever getting scratches from them.
The key is to shake it out and remove any large debris that would scratch the paint. Of course, you don't have to do this unless you use it on a car that should be washed instead of just dusted.
Definately worth the $10 or $20 that it cost back then. I've had the same one for about 7 years, but I need to replace it because I've abused it a little much by using it to dust what should have been cleaned. But it worked, and still does.
<<<EDIT>>>
Forgot to add, I seem to recall it streaking at first because of whatever the duster is coated with. A word of advice. Use it on several dusty cars first... ...anything dusty will work... ...you just want all of the strands to get a little coated with dust and then it won't ever streak on your paint again. It actually works better once it gets dusty. Just shake excess off and keep going.
