Washing Your Car in the Winter

My car is stored and im driving the 08 so i picked up a $30 a month unlimited washes thing to a Mr Car wash. Includes tire shine as well.

It does an okay job, I'll just need to keep tabs on the paint...

What do you guys do?

In my garage, nice warm bucket of water with ONR, definitely the best option.

Automatic car washes are the root of swirls and marring, I would highly avoid it. Being in Connecticut I can to attest to using ONR, park you car in the garage and ONR where it's warm .

I take my wash bucket and mit to the car wash (self spraying) and wash it and dry it. I would never do a drive through, or go somewhere and watch some kid dry it with a towel. Shammy only!

I used a chamois for a first time on my car yesterday. It blew donkey *****, and left water spots all over.

I prefer letting it air-dry till most of the water runs off and then use a very soft microfiber for the rest.

thanks for the spelling correction, I always find that a new chamois leaves water spots, but they get better with use. I live in an area with hard water, so If I don't hand dry it looks horrible.
