If your getting your doors painted on a sedan rip the molding in the middle of the doors for a more sleek look...might as well if your repainting

if they are deep key scratches then you are going to have to get the doors repainted. if u run your finger nail on them and u can feel them then they arent gonna buff out. matching the paint is all up to what body shop u go to. any bodyshop that knows how to mix their paint will get a perfect match. dont go to a crappy place if you are worried about it matching.

Ok i am going to tell you what they do.
1 take the door apart(mirror handle and belt molding and side molding) They can paint the door with the side molding on but i would not. The clear builds up on the top side of the molding and will crack later and you will have a dry spot under the molding where it is hard to paint.
2 they will sand out the scratch and prime where the scratch was.
3 depending where the scratches were they might blend the fender and or the quarter.
4 while they are preping the side of your car they will sand off the pin stripe ( if painted on) or peel off the strip( if sticker)
5 tape it up blend the silver out and clear
6 buff any dirt marks out or runs in the clear ( only some cars get runs)
7 put the car back together
8 wash, clean and pinstrip your car ( so dont leave your girls panties in there)
9 give it back to you after you pay

yeah i have worked in the body shop for about 8 years. sorry i cant help out with a good shop in chicago. I would I forgot to say i dont know how your molding are on ( i have not worked on a 4 door) if they are dubble sided tape you can retape the on (never looks like factory hard to get them to sit all the way down) If it has clips you can buy new ones to hold it on. Both ways if they are not to much buy new ones.

Can you post a pic for me to see i might be able to help out with a cheap fix
