Heat gun on the lower of the two settings, get it nice and warm and you should only need a fingernail and some finesse. If you do it right you should be able to pull the sticker off still in one piece. That's the first thing I did with my G.

Unfortunately the dealer ALSO had a license plate on the front with their license plate frames on front and back!! They were stupid enough to put holes in the front bumper andget rid of the tow hook cover, so I HAD to get a front license plate and two new frames. Till it was all said and done, removing the stealership crap from my car cost me about $70 in plates, frames and of course screw covers.

I had a dealership sticker on mine and I took it off with my fingernail. It came off rather easy. The only problem was it didnt get the same air exposure that the other paint on my car received and you can still see the tan lines of the name in certain lights.

Any one know whats best to use to blend that in with the other paint?

My intent on any future car I buy, either used or new, is to ask them to take it off after I have come up with the price I can accept. Or ask for another few hundred dollars off to "pay" for the advertising

The first time I thought of this was when I bought my 04 G35 5 1/2 years ago. Then learned that the dealership doesn't put them on.

Okay everyone, just as thatsmyG35 replied, the Carmax stickers peeled right off with my fingers. It was so easy I wondered why hadn't tried it before I posted on the forum!

I just removed the sticker from my G35x with a hair dryer and my fingernail. I wasn't sure it would work since I had a really thin sticker that looked like a decal. It was in fact just a sticker though. And a little spray of lubricating oil allowed me to easily rub off the remaining residue.

I prefer rubbing alcohol over goo gone and floss or 6lb test fishing line
