How do you remove used car decal/sticker?

I am really enjoying my car. I would like to remove the Carmax decal/sticker on the back of the car and not damage the paint. One of my friends is telling me that there is a detail tool that is like a plastic blade, that will do the job. Does anyone have any suggestions to remove the decal?

hell yeah... man i don't want that carmax thing on my car either... but its probably bonded to the paint real good... you would have to get that spot repainted after the decal was off more than likely...

my car is gold so it kinda blends... not worth the trouble in my case... but if someone knows an easy way... i would do it in a heart beat...

Taking the sticker off would be the first thing I would do. I wouldn't want people knowing I got gaped by CarMax.

Heat it up with a hair dryer and CAREFULLY pick it with a sharp blade, or your finger.

What about asking Carmax to remove it???
I've asked a dealership to remove their sticker from the car before. THey had no problem doing it.

If not, use the hairdryer as mentioned....

There's a logical answer, ask them to remove their sticker and please don't
damage my paint. To the members that suggested using a blade to remove
the sticker, not smart! One minor slip and you'd be repainting the trunk/bumper....not a good idea. Most stickers can be removed using hair
dryer and either WD40 or GooGone....neither of which will damage the painted
surface....

I wouldn't damage the paint if I did it.

from what I recall back when I bought a carmax mustang GT, the sticker removes quite easily. Use your finger nail to grab a corner and pull. Then buff that section with wax and a m.f. towel. Done.

Get some adhesive remover and just rub it with a cloth. All it is, is a sticker.

carmax will remove the sticker when asked. But using some goo-gone and fishing line will do the trick.

get some goo-gone from autozone, heat the area with a hairdryer until it is warm to the touch, spay a good amount onto the area and put a paper towel over the area to keep the solvent from running down your paint. Wait 5-10 minutes and the stickers will come off with minimal effort. Clean the area with some Simple Green or other biodegradable cleaner and youre all set.

use a hair dryer or a heatgun to heat up the glue, get it nice and hot, and it should come right off. this way you dont have to use any chemicals on your paint.
