Whats the best way to clean tan headliner?

I believe my car was a previous smokers car, headliner somewhat stained, I would like to clean this out but do not want to use something that will damage it.

Thanks!

when i drive with my windows open, i get a build up of soot on my headliner. to clean it i gently wipe with a damp cloth and the soot comes right out, my(maybe they all do) headliner seems to have a coating that does not let the soot stain my liner

Ehh I think it needs more than just a whipe down, but I guess it couldn't hurt to just try.

I just use a clean wet cloth and wipe it down... it just gets dirty again after a few months and wipe it down again....

Use an APC along with an extractor/steamer. Wrap the head of the
extractor with a Microfiber and clean it like you would a carpet.
