So I bought an 04 G35. Debadged it, but there was pitting. Thats what you get for debadging a 5 year old car. Anyway, I put some clear in the holes and let it dry, then i come back to sand the clear off but i couldnt just sand the clear. Everytime i went at it with the 2000 grain i would take paint from the surrounding area off as well. So when I finally got it how i needed it I started to buff and a little spot of primer appeared. Now before you flame the **** out of me for this n00b mistake let me tell you, that spot haunts me everyday. I have def. learned my lesson. Sanding should be a last resort.

ANYWAY, I need to get it repainted ASAP. Any idea what im gonna be looking at price wise? I can do post and prep work. And for those who are saying, "do post work? are you crazy? you already burnt the paint once, put the buffer down!" this accident happened a while ago, I was frustrated that day, and I let the PFW pad get the best of me. Ive detailed numerous cars for clients since without incident.

Depends on the colour of the car but probably $200-$500

Sucks, I have been worried about debadging mine for this very reason...
