Re: Crystal Guard
If your car is scratch and swirl free, IMO, it's the only product to use. It'll give you a great, deep shine and it's the most protective thing you can put on your paint. It's harder, lasts longer (g35girl went ALL WINTER in Indiana with only one application-- and water still beaded), has the highest melting point, and gives a great, deep shine. I've always said it's like dipping your car in glass...
If you're beyond that point and have swirls, go with something else, as it won't fill in those swirl marks for you, and is designed to adhere to the paint, not any polymers or waxes that you'd use to hide swirls.
The application process can be easy as pie if you do it correctly, and you can layer it upon itself indefinitely. I'm currently using Zaino because of swirls, but I liked CG so much better that I'm going to have my car buffed out so I can go back to using it instead.

Re: Crystal Guard
geobau... right on.
dbarnes... as geobau said, i did 1 CG application in early october 2003 and had a touchless carwash in late february 2004 (after awful snowy, salty, slushy, and muddy conditions) and the car shined and water beaded up nicely.
and here are pics of my car after rain (i handwashed the car in april 2004 and did 1 coat of CG).

Re: Crystal Guard
Thanks, everyone.
I purchase the "professional" application from Crystal Guard in May, and applied it per their instructions (shooting it on with a gravity-fed paint gun, letting it dry overnight between coats, etc.). Hardest thing for me was "blotting" the paint dry.
My car had only 3500 miles and no swirl marks, and it does look like "glass" (it's black), but since I hear so little about the product, I was curious as to who is using it, and what their long-term results have been.
I'm encouraged, especially after hearing that G35Girl went through a hard winter, and it held up. I'm looking forward to maintaining it, and achieveing the same long-term results. FYI, the pro kit had enough for two applications, but I did both "back to back" before driving the car, for max protection.
Thanks for the input.
