PlastX

This stuff is the greatest, I had to log in and promote this product, it is amazing.

I have had haze on my headlights for a couple of years now, I have tried clay bar several times in the past, rubbing away to no avail. I tried Zaino plastic magic, I love Zaino products, but this particular one was unsuccessful for me. I decided since the weather got nice to try it again, but not with high hopes, I read good things about Meguiars PlastX and went out and bought it, but based on past attempts I was highly skeptical and doubted that it would work. It is the simplest thing ever, rub it on but don't let it dry and wipe off. It was so dramatic I wish I had taken before and after pics, but honestly I was not expecting such dramatic results. It is like I have new headlights WOO HOOOOOOO.

I am thinking about trying some of their other products I am so impressed. Anyone try that new quick wax that you spray on and wipe off? Sounds too good to be true. I think of it like the Zaino spray( I thinkg Z4) you put on your car, but that is only going to be as good as the wax job underneath.

I have to agree man. I got Plastx as part of a Meguiars kit, I was not expecting much either but couldn't of been more happy with the results. It did a fantastic job. I recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried it out yet.

Any polish with any of level cut will do this. You are just cutting away the fine oxidation on the headlight, which a clay bar would not remove. Now some headlights just seem to do it, and some do it because the clearcoat on the headlight is gone and there are no UV inhibitors. Either way, put a coat of wax on to help slow down the oxidation from returning.

Meg's UQW is a good wax, but if you aren't really into waxing your car that often and want a cheap solution, order some Collinite 845, a very easy to use, cheap wax that will last you a good 5-6 months while still looking good. If you have any questions about detailing or want any product reccomendations, shoot me a PM and I will be glad to help you out

I have absolutely no knowledge when it comes to detailing but I wanted to polish my car by myself. First, I used Nu Finish. It did absolutely nothing in matter of removing water spots and fine scratches. I went to car quest and bought Meguiars fine cut and heavy duty polish. Man, those products rock!! If there is someone who thinks those products suck, please let me know what you use, I wanna try yours lol Oh by the way, My buffer is from Walmart…

I think most people on the forum, me included, use Zaino. It rocks.
