dude what the hell happened? lol...sorry to hear though, thats gonna be tough to get out. maybe you can try simple green..that usually works on pretty much everything inside a house so why not in the car right?

try it out, good luck.

You may want to try a quality carpet foam cleaner. The problem is, the material on the side pillars is very soft in texture, and any heavy rubbing may tend to change the appearance on that spot.

Whatever your choices are, I would do a test spot first to see if will remove the stain and or due any more damage to the material........

i'm with gr8tg35. i use this stuff with oxyclean in it for my willow mats. if simple green (not sure i'd try something green on willow pillars) or some carpet cleaner (some people use resolve) doesn't get it out, maybe you can try it. good luck.

I'm with g35Christine here, I would try the carpet cleaner! I don't know about Simple Green, that stuff has a strange smell to it, I have used that on stuff and my hands smell of it for a long time, even after washing.

i know the stuff smells and it may not be the best option here...but can we all agree that it's great at taking out household stains? i think it does its job pretty darn well if you ask me. as for inside the g, especially the pillars, will be tough. maybe you can contact a professional detailer and try to squeeze out a few secrets about how they get some tough stains out since they do it everyday..

good luck.

In addition to simple green (try diluting it first and work the concentration up as you need), I have use Stoner Trim Cleaner on the plastic pieces and roof liner. I simply sprayed a little bit on a terry cloth applicator and blotted and wiped. If you go the simple green route (or any degreaser), follow up with a clean damp, non linty cloth to remove the cleaner. Then I would use a wet/dry vac to get out as much moisture as possible. I have also used Woolite foaming carpet cleaner with success (it's light, foams up, but I prefer working it in a bit as well)
I would also try using some liquid laundry detergent (Tide, All, etc). Dilute some in a cup, maybe 20 detergent/50 water, and use a toothbrush to work it into the stain. Again, follow up with just plain water after and wet/dry vac after. Try not to get it too wet. Damp is all you need.

I had a similar experience a week afyter I got my coupe! I placed a medium coffee from DD in the center console below the arm rest. I was so careful to put the coffee in first before I got into the car so as not to spill it (I was only transporting the coffee, not drinking it in the car). Needless to say, my dumb @$$ got in the car and proceeded to put my elbo on the armrest which was lifted up for the cup. Yeah, I had coffee all over the leather, carpets, console...everywhere!!!

Just a few options for ya! Good Luck!

I would take it to a good detail shop and let the pro do it. The problem with any stains on any fabric or carpet is that once you used a cleaner, if the cleaner did not remove the stain, it SETS the stain for GOOD!!! Even the pros can't do anything later. I would only try very warm water, that's all.

i had the same thing happen to me once. my father put a pepsi can in the car and left it there. it was winter by the way. the can of soda froze and when i got in the car in the morning to drive to work, the can exploded. all over everything. i used one of those portable carpet steamer cleaners. i think its a bissell. that took it right out. my new car has black interior, much easier to clean.
