Newbie Needs a Help

Hello!
I am new at detailing. I would be very appreciative if you guys can give me some advice. I have been trying to polish my G with a cheap buffer and compounds from a local shop but no luck. Swirl marks are still there and paint quality is way poorer than pictures I see here on the forum.

So I decided to use better products.
I ordered

Porter Cable 7424XP Car Buffer
Lake County pads
Zaino Z-18 ClayBar
Z-AIO All-in-one
Z-5 PRO
Z-2 PRO

What I am planning to do is

1. Wash my car with dawn dish soap
2. Clay it with using soapy water as lubricant
3. Wash it with Maguiar's Gold Class and dry it
4. Polish my car with Maguiar's fine cut or swirl remover
(which one should I use?)
I'm gonna use buffer here
5. Polish with Z-AIO (I might use buffer again)
6. Polish with Z-5 (3times)
7. Polish with Z-2 (2times)

What do you think? If you can point out wrongs in my procedure, please let me know!

Thank you for your help!

I use the Porter Cable to polish my black coupe, and highly recommend it. I have not used the Maguire polishes...I recommend investing in the Menzerna line of polishes (do a search...Lots of threads about it).

Get the PC with the four inch backing plate and the four inch Lake Country pads. It might take longer to do the full polish, but the results will be worth it!

After polishing with either Maguire or Menzerna, then apply your Zaino. You can use the PC, but I usually apply and remove it by hand.

For added depth, you can add a coat of a good wax over the Zaino...Just let it cure for 24 hours before applying the wax.

Good luck!

Thank you very much. I just ordered Menzerna Intensive Polish. I though
about getting Super Intensive Polish but I thought it might be too strong.
I can't wait to clean my G.

Not anymore IMO. P203S(Powerfinish) has pretty much replaced SIP in my book, it cuts just as well and finishes down way better. Enough that you can finish with PO85RD and have a much nicer finish.

As the final step I would recommend using Z-CS (Clear seal)

All you do is wipe on and let it dry. Will seal in all of your hard work and will protect the finish for several months.
