MTEC FOGLIGHTS

I just bought the MTEC Super Whites for my fog/high beams. They sent me the 100/90W. These are 4 times brighter than the stock. But im worried about damaging something. They said the bulbs would work fine and would cause no damage.
HELP WHAT DO I DO? Should i use these or not???

Re: MTEC FOGLIGHTS

There is a possibility of having higher wattage bulbs burning the interior areas surrounding the bulb when the light is on for extensive periods. As a matter of fact, one member from this forum (James) came by yesterday and showed me the damage that came from his Nokya bulbs installed for the fogs / hi-beams....the upper layer was cracking and yellowing due to excessive heat from the bulbs.......

Re: MTEC FOGLIGHTS

what about those MTEC's that were recommended by redwillow awhile back?? this thread and these MTEC's

these are..
"MTEC Super White Halogen Bulbs H4 - MTEC Bulbs are made in Japan with the latest technology and highest quality . These super white plasma xenon bulbs emit bluish tint (4350K). High quality xenon charged HID lamp, 65W > 130W (2 Times brighter) with no extra current draw."

I'm not sure if these are the same as the ones you picked but i think they're less wattage. I havent gotten them yet but will be doing so shortly...i really hope it doesnt cause any damage.. any help?

Re: MTEC FOGLIGHTS

Will these work in place of our stock fogs or highs without any mods? I'm new to making these sort of mods, and thought that since the fogs were not xenon, these lights would not work. Sorry for such a basic question.
