Where is the best place to detail car in San Jose, CA?

It'll be the first detail for my G35! Not sure if it belongs in this forum or Northern California.

You mean you want to get your car detailed? Be ready to pay money, you're gonna have a lot of hacks who will say $80 and your car will be done in 2 hours!!!!

You'll have to find a (probably) independent guy who will take his time and make sure the job is done properly. If you want to give me your location, I can recommend you a detailer. However, be aware that you get what you pay for.

No, that's a terrible and over-priced option. Dealers generally have no idea what they are doing.

The car was brought to me so I could properly detail it. Like I said, if you tell me where you are located, I can recommend a proper detailer for you. If you don't want to do that, take it to the dealer.

BTW, I looked at their prices more, and they are hilarious. The Meguiar's G110 they are selling for 215 dollars goes for ~115 anywhere else. And $140 for a clay bar? That's something you can do in 30 minutes with a $10 claybar.

Hold on, I'm a moron. That's what I get for posting late at night, I didn't even read the title. I'll find you a detailer.

if you want to spend $150 for someone to spend 3 hours on the car, dont expect perfected paint (thats the point right, a near flawless finish?) 95% is the industry standard for a driver when getting detailed in order to maintain as much clear as possible per detail. Shooting for 100% perfection will drive you up the wall, expecially on a driver, besides the fact it will take a couple of days to achieve perfection on a car minimum!

There is a reason we charge the prices we charge. its manual labor, quality products cost money, and time is not free - you can never get it back! Guy A is charging $20/hr vs. Guy B charging $60/hr...who do you think is going to put in more effort, use better products, and give an overall better finish? Unless Guy A gets his stuff for free, has nothing else going on in life, Guy B will no doubt give a better, longer lasting finish!

People seem, (not directed at the OP, just some phone calls I have been getting lately), to be focused on the PRICE of the detail rather than the QUALITY of it! You can spend $500 once and have the car look good for a longer period of time, or you can skimp out, pay $100 to joe shmo and have it look good for a month at most until all the fillers and oils wear off the car and it returns to the state it was in before the cheap detail! $500 to have it done right and done once VS cheap and crappy job over and over....ONE TIME PLEASE

"good is rarely cheap, and cheap is rarely good"
