Best polish and wax on Black Obisidian G35 coupe?

Can I get some suggestions on what results people have seen with different polishes and waxes on the Black Obsidian paint? Thanks!!

Any polish will be most effective when applied by a machine. Having said that, if you're only looking for a one step polish, stick with something that has light abrassives like Optimum Polish or Menzerna 106fa....follow that up with Pinnacle Souveran for a deep shine. (Souveran doesn't last very long, but looks killer on black). If you want something with more durability, go with Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant 2.0.

Good luck!

Menzerna polishes are some of the best polishes out there. But, you'll only get good results if applied with a good buffer (PC, FLEX, etc.), not those AutoZone or Wal-Mart buffers.

As for wax, it depends on what you want. If you want durability, you could use any synthetic wax. If you was deep, wet shine (usually at the expense of durability) you should look into natural carnauba waxes.

Of course, don't be fooled by synthetics saying "CONTAINS 100% CARNAUBA!".
100% carnauba refers to the purity of the wax, not the concentration or amount of carnauba. Also, chances are it's the lowest grade carnauba. The highest grade carnauba waxes are harvested from the Brazil and cost significantly more. The highest grade carnauba waxes out there are about 1/3 carnauba with a mixture of other synthetic materials to make it pliable and applicable to paint care.
Carnauba is very expensive... if those 16oz bottles were pure carnauba, they would cost thousands of dollars.

Mothers wax.. Affordable and it works. You get a "reflective shine"..

I tried NTX, Gold Class and they didn't come close.

I just used the Menzerna 106fa with a PC and used Jetseal 109 by hand. I like the Jetseal because it applies and comes off real easy and last a long time....

I use duragloss sealant and their aquawax as a refresher when I wash. The sealant keeps a nice coat of armor on it, and the aquawax is super super easy. just spray on as your drying and dry normally. The sealant last about 6 months and the aquawax keeps it looking dripping wet.

I like to use Menzerna's Full Molecular Jacket. Goes on and comes off super easily and lasts a long time! I'd then top it with Pinnacle Souveran.

you are talking about two different things..one is a polish and one is a sealant...

optimum polish or menzerna 106 BOTH need to be followed up with a wax/sealant

WDGS is, well....

FYI, there's absolutley no reason to use both Z2 AND Z5 on a car. Z2 can be used on either light or dark cars but Z5 is more for darker cars. Using both on the same car is a total waste of money and product. Having said that, I use to do that too when I first started using Zaino a few years ago but came to realize through reading and studying up on it that it's pointless. When I use Zaino now, I just use Z2 and there is NO difference what so ever in the way the car looks if I only use Z2. I just bought some Blackfire so I'm looking forward to seeing how it compares.
