Window scratches/swirls--what to do?

A couple weeks ago I had to take my G to a body shop for a new headlight (road debrit broke my right housing) and some paint restoration. When I got the car back, their was (and still is) some "protective" film they applied (to prevent overspray) left over on parts of the windows and paint. So, since nothing else was working to get it off, my dumb-@ss decided to try a coarse spunge on the windows (I'm not dumb enough to try it on the paint at least; LOL). While I got most of the cr*p off the windows, I apparently caused lots of tiny, swirly scratches on the side windows and left headlight (grrr!). Is there anything I can use to hide those? I had just put a fresh coat of Rain-X on a couple weeks prior, but that obviously wasn't intended to protect glass from anything more than water spots. I am so p*ssed now; I shoulda just took it right back to the shop to have them remove everything--well, I did before, but they were closed, so I got impatient (one of my biggest weaknesses)... Anyway, suggestions are welcome, if any.

I would try going to Gritos Garage online. They make a glass polish that works wonders. It may take some time, but it just might do the trick! You will probably need both the course polish and fine polish. I bought it just for my shower doors that get cloudy n nasty water spots, the stuff take is right out n makes the glass look like new. Give it a shot, the worst that happens is you'll be out a few bucks and still have the polish to use on your headlights when they start foggin up, shower doors in the house, windows pon the car, etc.
