Re: Best cleaner for floor mats???
Spot Shot will remove almost any stain, and ScotchGuard works well for keeping them clean. Resolve is a good cleaner for the entire mat that is only slightly dirty. I used to wash my BMW mats in the washer w/ Woolite, as did most other guys in BMW forums...excellent results. I have not tried that with the G35 yet, but will do so soon and report back.

Re: Best cleaner for floor mats???
since the mats are rubber back and will dry well, I soak the carpet and use dawn dish detergent. It cuts the grease and keeps them squeaky clean

Re: Best cleaner for floor mats???
I've never seen 303 carpet and upholstery cleaner.. where would one buy it? I'd guess pepboys/autozone, but what about walmart/targets? Or how ever homedepot/lowes? (they do have scotchguard there and other various cleaners)
Thanks

trust me on this one. it literally makes the stains disappear with just a squirt kinda like what you see on those infomercials.

Re: Best cleaner for floor mats???
Believe it or not I use 2 different products for cleaning and they haven't let me down yet. FIrst I take the mats out and lightly mist them with water. Then I spray a diluted degreaser on the troubled areas and lightly spray surrounding areas. I like working it in with a good stiff brush. mist the carpets again and use some liquid laundry detergent. Don't use too much cuz it will take you forever to rinse out. I usually scatter a lil here n there on the mats. Mist with water again and brush thoroughly. Rinse, brush, rinse....rinse with grain/against grain until water runs clear. Once water runs clear and is free from suds. Vaccum excess water with wet dry vac, go against the nap first, with it last. Hang vetrically in the sun to dry!
After they are dry, treat with scotchguard.
Sounds like alot of work, but it really isn't!

Re: Best cleaner for floor mats???
Most Boat stores carry the 303 Protectant and the Cleaner. The proetectant works good on your vinyl including the dash to keep it show lot new and the cleaner is excellent for the leather and carpet including the mats.
