Any alternative to factory touch up paint?

I hate to have to pay the high price for the Nissan touch up paint and I wondering if there is a comparable less costly touch paint?

I've used Dr. Colorchips. It's not cheaper, but it is more effective. It's very easy to apply and uses factory color codes.

I bought one of the Dr. Colorchip kits and have yet to use it. Probably going to try it out today once I get around to polishing my G.

Check out this link. Wall Street Journal did a paint repair kit comparison and this one came out on top. Haven't tried it myself but it's on the short list of things to pick up soon.

The problem with the touch up paint, is that its difficult to apply evenly and smoothly. And what happens if you get paint outside chip area? Dr.Colorchips solves those issues. Just remember, Dr. Colorchips will paint the chipped area, not fill it "flush" with the rest of the painted surface.

I'm curious to see if it will with multiple layers. Their website indicates it will.

Have you ever used this kit?

Paid $10 for touch up paint from Infiniti two weeks ago, still thought it was high. I bought the Dr. Colorchip kit for my wife's Vette last year and still haven't used it....one of these days when I'm not playing with my coupe....

I'd be curious to see if it worked for you. That might make up my mind on whether or not I buy the kit.
