Shadow after debadge

so i debadaged the G35 off my trunk. it looks good except there's a shadow left behind. Its not that noticable only at an angle or in the sun light but it's still driving me nuts. i washed it several times and waxed it once but not much help. i did a search and all i could find was that if i keep washing it and waxing it a bunch of times it will eventually go away. Is there any way to get rid of this shadow ne faster? like a certain product i can buy. thanks

I suggest trying a polish instead of the wax.

Nice i only see a hand full of G's here and there around rockland and north jersey, and even less with some noticable mods which is a good thing. So any particular polish?

Thumbs up

I hear ya there! I'm up in Greene County and so far i've come across 1 other G. Nice Blue one. Coming from Tampa which had a bajillion G's on every corner. Nice change. I cruise around quite a bit so maybe we'll bump into each other.

use something that is like a swirl remover or paint cleaner, then polish and wax the entire area.

Go to Advance Auto, and pick up Ultimate Compound by Meguiars and a hand polish pad and use some elbow grease.

I de-badged part of my trunk the other day. Wasn't bad at all considering the car is 7 years old.

Anyway. After I removed all of the glue I used the mother's 3 step wax system. (pre-wax cleaner, sealer and glaze, carnauba wax). It looks very close to perfect to me. If you knew what and where to look you can faintly see it though. Of course, I did this by hand in about 2 minutes...

+1. This is the best over-the-counter polish. It's pretty aggressive, but will be fine by hand.

If you would rather get something mild, try ScratchX 2.0. And even more mild is SwirlX.
