Those w/ the OEM G35 Carpet Floor Mats
Hey guys,
I just recently removed the little plastic mats that sit on top of my carpet matting (the one w/ the infinity logo)... and now I know they're going to get dirty sooner or later... for those of you who have cleaned them... is the dirty easy to come off? (esp for teh infiniti logo--I can see how taht can get really blackish)...
Thanks

I bought the OEM rubber floor mats (comes in a four piece for front & rear) .Because they are custom fit and have the Infinit logo/name I use these in the fronts all the time. Just take them out, wash them and give them a little "Back to black" shine.
As for the rears I leave in the carpeting, no-one really sits back there anyway.

Yeah, those all weather floor mats right? Damn, those would be sweet, I love the look of my carpeted though... but the muddy factor is scary.. just want to see how people have dealt w/ it

Re: Those w/ the OEM G35 Carpet Floor Mats
It's a toss up, but in almost every car I've owned I've replaced the carpet mats with rubber, especially in bad weather. If they're OEM they look great, in all honesty the front rubber mats look better than the carpet.
Re: Those w/ the OEM G35 Carpet Floor Mats
I just picked up a set of OEM all weather mats today. Good timing for me as well, since I had to avoid an accident, and did an emergency lane change and slammed on the brakes which caused me to spill my wife's take out dinner box all over the floor. I just got home, took dinner inside, came back out and hosed down the rubber mat.
I like them much better than the standard carpet. I've only seen them in the dark though, so I can let you know what I think tomorrow morning.

For those w/ rubber mats, do you have willow or black interior? I've been wondering what the willow mats would look like???

I have the willow all weather mats. I've actually taken out my carpet mats, and left the rubber mats in it's place. It's been about two years now, and you can tell they are starting to wear, but i'd prefer that over wearing down the carpet.

I believe the rubber OEM set costs anout $75 from your local Infiniti dealer. Take out the front carpet, put in the rubber and if you have passengers in the back one day, simply put the rear mats over the carpet.
Re: Those w/ the OEM G35 Carpet Floor Mats
The one thing that concerns me about rubber mats is the potential smell of rubber (bad!). Anyone that's had these for a while notice any rubber smell when they get in the car, or are these mats "scentless?" Thanks.

"So, how do you keep your car smelling so new?"
Comment I've gotten about 10 times since I've had my rubber mats in it. I've not noticed a smell at all.

Re: Those w/ the OEM G35 Carpet Floor Mats
My mats are done... I pick them up saturday.
I had my uncles company make me four mats for my G. They are made from cold steal and they are brushed... that means they are silver (similar color than the aluminum dash) and have a grain. I will be putting Infiniti symbols on them as soon as they come in. Will post pics soon.
Thanks - Joey Avino
