gray spots on wheels?

Looks like gray spots in the crear coat. Anyone know to fix this? The only thing I can think of is the previous owner sprayed something not clear coat safe.

Most Probably the previous owner took it to a car wash and they used some acidic wheel cleaner and let it sit too long.

If the spots aren't etched into the clear coat too deeply, then you could probably get away with using a little rubbing compound/polish.
