Windshield Polish
Windshield Polish
Being over three years old now, my windshield is starting to show signs of abuse... little specs from sand and debris that slowly wear into the glass over time. It's not too bad until the solar glare is just right and then it's damn near impossible to see through.
In MA, we can get free windshield replacement but I hate the idea of an aftermarket windshield and I also hate the hacks they send to do the job.
Anyone ever used a windshield polish before?
I'm tempted but I'm afraid of making matters worse... swirls at night would suck.

Griot's Glass Polish
I've never heard of anything that will do what you want it to. Glass polish usually only removes those hard-to-remove surface stains like mineral deposits that build up over time. It's even marginal in removing some of the acid rain etching, but that's about it.
i get super fine steel wool, and spray like 1/4 bottle of windex/glass cleaner and tape off the sides and work at the glass and its worked for me for ever, i learned it from a friend who details cars, you can also use claybar on your windows.
Oddly enough detailedimage just posted a question about this, and I thought it was pretty helpful.
