Whats the best way to clean a engine bay on a G?

 

I just paid my mobile detail guy $10 to swing by the job and clean mine, it was sooo dirty.

 

I clean it by hand, with a rag and warm water. Then wipe down the black trim with a dashboard/plastic/rubber dressing. Pain in the a$$ but prevents any problems from cropping up like you would get if you where to hose the engine bay down.

 

^ +1 also i use WD-40 at times when there is some stubborn spots.

 

purple stuff.. it is a degreaser. it will remove anything.. just make sure u dilute it with water..

 

i use simple green about 10 oz to 90oz of water...spray it with simple..drive about 5 min to the car wash..spray it with simple again..i always leave the car on when i pressure wash it..making sure to stay away from the MAF and other electrics.. take it on the back road and haul ***!!! get some of that water out...then get it home and use CD2 engine detail..this stuff works great!! leaves that kinda semi gloss shine..PERFECT!!! ive sold many cars cause of this stuff...hahahah
