What do people use to clean the carpet inside the vehicle? I have been looking to upgrade and want to know what people are using and with what results.

I'v looked at the Little Green Machine but it seems kinda cheap. If anyone uses one and it works fantastically, great!

They work great we use ours around the house on little things all the time such as the couch cusions and armrests. Most models come with a little attachment to get inside the car.

 

I used a Bissell wet cleaning Carpet machine with the hand attachment in my dads car. It really worked well.

For the carpet mats i use a powerwasher.... it seems to do the trick as for the carpet maybe a steam machine with any good carpet shampoo

 

not really sure, Any Wet Vac that you can find at like target with a small hand attachment should work. Hot water and the soap is what counts so it does not really need to be good at carpet cleaning lol.

But do be aware any of these carpet cleaners even resolve or Carbona are very strong and do lightly brighten up the carpet, so if you use it too many times it will get much lighter. This is something to use like once in a while.

 

I'd also suggest another less expensive option that works very well. Spray the 303 Cleaner & Spot Remover on your fabrics, wait 1 - 2 minutes, then take a warm dish of water, dip your scrub brush in it and agitate the carpet in multiple different directions. When you are done you can generally let the seats just air dry but a wet dry vac works as well. It's a highly effective process that is cost effective as well.

I'm in the cleaning business and in my 30+ years of experience, I recommend any decent steam cleaner you can buy at a home improvement store. The most important thing to remember is to use as little chemical as possible and very hot water! As someone else suggested, a carpet spray spotter is all you really need. Don't buy all that shampoo and other stuff they try to jazz you with when you buy/rent a steam cleaner. That stuff is a ripoff and will make your job much more difficult the next time around. More often than not, people use too much and if you don't get it ALL out, you carpets will dirty even faster than they did before because of the left over soap attracting the dirt back onto the carpet...that's how surfactants work!
