some klasse love (56k warning)

everyone else seems to post zaino pics, so i thought i'd add some klasse to the mix. currently i've only got 2 layers of hgs on, but plan on adding 1 maybe 2 every month.

this was the first real polishing i've done on my g so i did just a few steps...
clay
3m swirl mark remover
3m imperial hand glaze
klasse all in one
klasse high gloss sealant x2

Your car is poppin'. When you get the urge to try something new you should try topping the AIO and SG with Pinnacle Souveran paste wax or P21S/S100 if you haven't tried it already. Great results regardless.

Agree. Combining Klasse synthetic with natural caranuba (e.g., P21S or Pinnacle Souveran) gives you synergy ... aka "the perfect shine." http://www.autopia-carcare.com/inf-perfect.html

Re: some klasse love

thanks...i've thought about adding something on top but i'm not sure yet. i really like the idea of just throwing on more hgs every few weeks. its just so easy to apply/remove and keeps it looking fresh.

how do the wax's hold up compared to just klasse?

Re: some klasse love

glad to see people trying something other than zaino. just as an fyi. the IHG should be applied over AIO. the AIO probably removed the IHG since it is a cleaner. i also agree w/ everyone on the carnuba topper, definitely give it a shot. as for longevity, pure carnuba wax lasts around a month, not much more. but then that's what the synthetic is for aint it?

i'm currently throwing on some poorboy's ex-p, after that some souveran.

Re: some klasse love

but hgs needs to have aio as its base for it to bond properly, no?

i'm not positive aio does remove the ihg, it didn't seem to. like most 3m stuff i don't know anybody who really has any idea how it does what it does.. i know aio removes waxes and lite oxidation, but ihg isn't a wax..

all i know for sure is its shiny and too late to worry about it if it did remove it

Re: some klasse love

yeah i forgot that sg needs aio as a base. i also seem to recall that aio is a cleaner and ihg is pretty much oils, so in theory ihg should remove ihg. but like you said, it's already done; so as long as your happy w/ it......

Your car looks great......I also use AIO and SG as well, but I top it off with between one to three coats of P21S carnuaba wax. It goes on so easy, and you just wipe it right back off, no waiting for it to haze. There is no powder residue and it doesn't harm the rubber or plastic if you accidently hit it..... Just my .02

Re: some klasse love

'Looks great! I used the Klasse AIO/Pinnacle combo last time and was very pleased. The Pinnacle wax is VERY easy to apply and remove (even more so than the Klasse AIO) and the smoothness is unlike anything I've ever tried. I highly recommend it too!

Your G looks totally awesome.

I think the clear corners stand out too much on red, red is the only color where the factory amber corners look good (blends in with the red). Well, at least that's my opinion.

Great work on your car.
