ENVautoDetailing Detailed: 2005 Mercedes-Benz SL65AMG
Just finished up a full detail on this beauty. It's a 2005 Mercedes SL65AMG with 10,000 miles on the ODO. This particular SL65 has the V12 BiTurbo motor, it is an absolute BEAST! The car had been sitting in an open garage for months and was covered in dust until a recent rain a few weeks ago so naturally there were water spots after sitting in the sun post rain.
Equipment:
Flex XC3401VRG
Porter Cable 7424XP
Lake Country 4" and 6.5" pads
DI Great White microfiber towels
Products used:
CG Citrus Wash & Gloss
Adams APC
P21S Total Auto Wash
TUF Shine Tire Appearance Kit
Chemical Guys Black on Black
Chemical Guys Wheel Wax
Menzerna Power Finish
Menzerna PO85RD
Menzerna Power Lock
CG XXX wax
My first concern was the wheels and tires. The barrells of all the wheels had brake dust caked on them from the huge AMG brakes (which were also covered in brake dust) So first order of business was to remove the wheels and give them a through cleaning.
Then the tires were cleaned and sealed with TUF shine. The wheel wells were dressed with Chemical Guys Black on Black. The wheels and calipers were waxed with Chemical Guys Wheel Wax.
Results:
The car was then clayed and washed again.
Here is a test area of the driver door.
After polishing with PO203S and PO85RD
This is the reflection off the hood... like a mirror!
After's outside:
