What kind of gloves do you use? Even wearing vinyl or disposable gloves, my hands get pretty damn cold!

Tom....you might want to check Home Depot or any paint/contractors supply store. They sell heavy duty lined gloves for many different applications....(i.e. caustic chemicals, acids and the like)

The ones I use I purchased at Home Depot.......they are not really lined, but are much heavier in density than say, Platex and such......

I washed my car in temps right around freezing last year and maybe just my pinky felt a little tingle.....

TOO cold in CT to wash my G. I take it to the Detailer during the winter.

Yes, wash that car no matter what (unless it's way below freezing). Luckily for me, I have a garage with a drain in the middle. Now I have to figure out how to get a hose with warm water into the garage (it's detached).

Maybe I'll try the car wash where you can drive inside and spray it yourself.

Don't let the water freeze, though. You'll have a hard time opening doors. And DON'T roll down the windows after you wash in freezing weather.

I do, but then I live in Arizona. Years ago, I lived In Massachusetts and I remember I tried to wash in the winter, and the water froze on the car. I had no garage at the time, so I played heck in getting it off. One of those outside steam washers may work if you wipe it off fast, though I really don't know.

And yes, it is important to wash in the winter because of all the salt and crap you guys in snow country have on the road. You should also wash under the car.
