Wax the plastic?

Is it necessary to wax the plastic bumper covers in the front and rear?

The hood and doors and roof and trunk are made of metal. The bumpers of the car are actually metal rods which are covered up by plastic bumper covers. So in front of the car the part that the lisence plate holder connects to is plastic. The same is true in the back.

YES! You wax the paint on the car to protect it. It doesn't matter if the paint is applied to plastic, steel, aluminum, etc... If you want to protect your PAINT, wax or polish it.

Hmm... I think the bumpers are only covered at the bottom? Or... is the whole thing plastic? It doesn't look very plastic to me.

The whole thing is plastic. Take a magnet to it to see.

It's Urethane. Much more flexible than fiberglass, it bends up to a point where as fiberglass would shatter and break.

You should wax all painted surfaces, can use a plastic polish for lightcovers, and I use RainX for the windshield.
