Got tint ticket, finally. :(
I have 20% all around and the cop here in Minnesota said it could only be 50% max. So, the ticket is coming and I have to remove the tint and get my car inspected. Like the others, I don't want to remove my tint. Here are my options:
1) Just pay the ticket and get going without removing the tint. Since I am originally from California (I'm still driving with my CA license), is there any way I can dodge the ticket?
2) Have a shop remove the tint or do it by myself and get the car inspected to lower the ticket fine.
3) Is it possible to make the tint looks brighter to pass the inspection even only on visual?
4) Can I use "excessive tint" sticker like the others mentioned here?
If you have any better idea, please let me know. I have to get my car inspected in 4 weeks. The goal is to have my tint on. The bottom line is to take the tint off - big hassle.
Thanks,

You may already have heard this but I know this is a possibility. But in VA you can get a prescription from an eye doctor which states you are sensitive to sunlight while driving (like you get headaches ect.). Because when I got my ticket the first thing the officer asked me was if i had any medical prescriptions for my windows. The hard part is convincing a doctor that tinted windows is the way to fix your problem opposed to sunglasses....haha Goodluck

Before I answer, What The Hell this has to do with Care & Detailing LOL LOL??!!!
Don't know Minn laws, but if its similar to Cali's I believe you only need to remover the front tint. You shouldn't have to remove them all, but again that's how it is in Cali. Check your state DMV law or you can go with option 1 but then you run the risk of getting caught again.

same case here, i finally got pulled over for it. changed my fronts to 35% and gonna fight it, hopefully, they will see it and find me not responsible.
some people get it done again. i personally wouldnt do that,c uz i got puleld over in my home town and the cops will pull me over again if they see me with dark tints again.
i know a friends of mine. she got dark tints too but she left .25 inch on the top of her window non tinted, so that when the cop puts their meter on it, they cant reach the tint borderline and wont be able to measure it!
