Help, overspray
I was doing a little painting on my car and i guess i didnt tape/mask as good as i thought i did. I have overspray on the car in a few places. I got a MOTHERS clay bar set from advanced autoparts. It worked on the windows great, but it didnt hardly do anything on the body. polishing didnt work either.
What other hope is there for me... Paint the whole car???

I'm not telling you to do this but get a microfiber cloth with a little lacquer thinner and gently rub the areas then buff & wax the areas. It has worked in the past with me. Or you can risk using a high speed buffer and pray you don't burn through the paint. My true advice, take it to a professional detailing shop and they will remove the overspray.
^ Right. I saw a guy one time on here that took the advice of another member to use brake fluid to take the oxidation off his headlights. He ended up completely FUBARing his headlights. That thinner idea is in the same neighborhood.

As a professional detailer, I'd recommend you take it to a good detailer. I generally encourage owners trying some detailing on their own, but overspray is pretty hard to remove and almost every technique requires a proper polish to finish down the marring left behind by sanding or an aggressive clay bar.
thanks for your concern guys... the outcome is... (dunt dunt duuuuunn!?!?!) IT FREAKING WORKED!!! it came off easy, and the paint is still fine.
BTW, i asked a paint shop guy on my way home how to get of a little overspray and he told me to use a little lacquer thinner and rub lightly then wipe off... go figure.
THANKS AGAIN ERRBODY!
