help! door handles and painted trim above windows cloudy.

Please help. The door handles and painted trim above the windows are cloudy or oxidized.
What can I do to clean it up. Please detail the products and steps. Thank you very much.

since the trim above can be easily removed, i would jsut take them off and get them painted, as for the handles thats harder.

No chance of polishing or some product to restore the shine?

I would try something like headlight restorer that's what I use to get rid of scratches etc. worth a shot!

Kinda hard to tell from the pics but it looks like the clear coat is starting to fail.

DO NOT USE HEADLIGHT RESTORER!! buff it off, it that doesn't work use 1200 or 2000 grit sand paper to wet sand it lightly then buff it... youll need a buffer and rubbing compound.


howd did it get like that anyways??

...headlight restorer is rubbing compound...and it works great

I thought meant that stuff you wipe on and off it like clear coat..
