Debadge Fail Help!
Okay so I Looked through numerous debadge fail threads and none were as bad as mine...so i need some suggestions on where to go from here.
there is an outline of the Mt. fuji that is impossible to get out and very noticeable
Ive tried goo gone, medium grade clay bar, and aggressive polish with my pc 7424xp and its not getting this outline out
Ive debadged the G35 and INFINITI in the past and was just getting tired of the Mt Fuji when I waxed...
please help! If it wont come out by tomorrow than i will take it to a professional to get it wet sanded.
btw I know there is a new debadge thread everyday but Ive never seen one go this wrong Thanks...

No really. Wet Sanding is NOT hard...
Spray bottle with water + a drop or two of soap.
Get some 2000grit paper, and a Bondo block sander.
Soak paper for about 10 mins then put it int he block sander
Lightly sand the area, do not put pressure on it. You arnt sanding wood. You are sanding MICRON's of the clear coat away. Nothing more.
After the 2000 grit, go to a cutting compound. Start with a medium cutting compound.
I would put your 7424xp to the side for this.. Buy a rotary.... a Makita 9227C is best bang for buck, and you WILL use it again.
Use a Wool pad. 7-8 inch, Tape your edes, keep your speed down to 1000-1500rpm, again, minimum pressure, a wool pad with compound on high speed or high pressure will damage faster then you can say "Oh shiat"
After compound, use polish, then wax. Should be good as new.
Something that size shouldnt take more then 15 minutes. That includes tapeing it up etc etc.
Even if you are buying a AMS trunk... do this... Fix this, if you screw up, fix that! Eventually you will get the hang of it and your car will love it, your friends and family will love you for it.
Your RO will do it... but it will take days....

From the pic that looks like more than just a shadow, can you feel the outline of the Fuji emblem? Did you saturate the shadow several times with a rag filled with Googone? All to often members rebadge using super glue, hope this isn't the case which would require the lid being repainted. I had a shadow on my trunklid, nothing in my garage would remove it until I used a high speed buffer and fine compound followed by several coats of quality wax.
