I have never used the Mothers 3 step application, but I have used Meguiars 3 Step Application. The Meguiars includes a 1) Paint Cleaner 2) Polish 3) Carnuba Was. I have used this on all my vehicles and always get a compliment on the way my cars look. In fact, when I bought my G, I was thinking about trading in my Black Ford Explorer, and the dealer wanted to have their body shop take a look at it because the paint was sooo glossy they wanted to make sure it had not been repainted. Most people would have considered that an insult, but actually, I took it as a compliment.

Try out the Meguiars Deep Crystal 3 Step Application. I think you'll like the results. The Paint Cleaner works magic on those light scratches/swirls.

Good Luck!

I used to use this all the time w/ my explorer. It takes some time, but works great!!!

That being said, I now only use Zaino. It just so much better, and even a sh|tty quick application of Zanio, looks better than all day with mothers.

Going to back up wrah. I only use Zaino also.. Does a great job, but requires alot of time. Make sure you get the accelerator that makes your polish cure faster. Also make sure you use the accelerator within 7 months. I had my sitting the garage and it dried up and that stuff is expensive. What a waste.

I think mothers considers step 1 to be clating the car then step two is what they call a cleaner wax, then step three is Carnauba wax.. It is ok stuff but not a high quality product like Menzerna or Autoglym, Zaino etc... Much better then turtle wax though.
