2005 G Coupe Dash Panel Deterioration
2005 G Coupe owned since new, second car, 47K miles, warm garage kept, very well cared for inside and out. Noticed haze developing on rubbery part of dash panel, especially after car had sat 5 months over winter. Used Sonax dashboard cleaner and followed with 303 Aerospace dressing. The haze reappeared so I reached out to Detailed Image and they recommended Gtechniq Tri-Clean followed with Gtechniq Matte Dash. Seemed to work better, but the haze is reappearing. When car is out and sun heats up the dash panel, the haze goes away and is replaced by the shine of the product, but then returns after car has sat in garage for a couple weeks. Reached out to local detail shop and they advised they were familiar with the dash material and they just were not made to last and breakdown. They suggested to not use any cleaners and just keep reapplying some sort of silicon based dressing. Has anyone else had to deal with this issue and if so, what did you do? A new dash panel itself is expensive and probably very expensive to have installed. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

Got any pics of the haze? I assume by the "rubbery part" you are referring to the section that faces the passengers? My coupe is also garaged and stored winters. I think one spring I did have some sort of film after taking it out of storage, but as far as I know I don't have a haze. I've been more concerned about it cracking so I started using 303 protectant as well, and also purchased a sunshade for when it's not in the garage. Maybe this is outdated information, but I head read (many) years ago that silicone-based dressings (e.g. Armor All) were actually bad for dashboards.
As far as replacing the dash cover, I doubt you could even find a new one in stock anywhere.

no pics unfortunately as I just dressed it recently. yes, the dash pad that faces passengers. it is like a film that you can wipe away by just rubbing your fingers on it. once dressed, it look like new again. understand the car is 15 years old, but it still looks like new inside and out and want to keep it that way. there are no cracks anywhere in dash as it has been very well maintained. have found some new dash pads in some dealers inventory, but they are expensive and even more so to install. will just keep re-applying the Gtechniq C6 Matte Dash or 303 and just try to keep it looking nice as I do not think there are any other options other than a new dash. could have an auto re-upholstery shop do a new dash in alcantara if the situation becomes worse.

there are several. just google infiniti parts and look up dash panel/pad or instrument panel. infinitipartsdeal.com has them listed in black for $1,333.13, which is pretty good.
most are $2,300+ on sites like parts.infinitiusa,com. several sites show discontinued.

I just ordered or try to order the Lid Cluster Top or even the Dash Finisher to complete my new dashboard I purchased. It shows all available, transaction went thru, stated they had it in stock, but then they credited back my cc account, due to NOT HAVING IN STOCK, at Infinitipartsdeal.com, believe me I have called & been online for a day looking for just the Lid Cluster Top or even the Complete Dash Finisher, NO ONE HAS IT IN STOCK. As for as the dashboard, I found them in stock at Infiniti Clearlake in Tx, or your local dealer can order the dash but you will need the Lid Cluster Top, which seems to be invisible, LOL...

Have you tried any of the pull-a-part yards in Louisiana? They have a few G35s
