im no expert when it comes to detailing the car ..

how often are you suppose to wax the car ?

i wash my car once a week and it just doesnt glow like after waxing it..

i wax it once a month.. my friend told me thats too much as i shouldnt be waxing it once a month..

can someone gimme a reason as to why i should wax my car once every X times..

also, i have a blk coupe and the paint compared to rest of my cars just looks OLD... anyhting i can do to bring it looking like new besides a new paint job.. i have only had my car for 6 months..

First of all Infiniti/Nissan puts crappy paint on their cars. I would say wax every 4 to 6 months. Maybe a getting a teflon coat applied will make the paint look nice. Its expensive though. Sounds like you may have a lot of wax residue on the car from waxing too much. It can build up over time if you have over done it.I would get an auto car wash that take s the wax off and you can start with a fresh coat. In between washes I use Meguires quick detailer. Keeps a good shine and works well to protect the wax seeing that I use Meguires wax too.

 

PS: Black is the hardest car to keep clean

 

yup you are right about that, I seriously need to wash, wax my car, its been over 7 months... i also use Meguiar's NXT polymer based wax and use meguiars quick detail spray...
