Streak-free Windows: Is it Possible?
Streak-free Windows: Is it Possible?
One of my biggest pet peeves are streaky windows. I've tried everything from different solutions to different techniques. Some methods have worked all right while others were total failures. I have found a technique which works reasonably well for the outside of the window, but isn't practical for the window's interior.
Cleaning the Exterior of the Windows:
- I'll first clean the entire car, including windows, with my normal car wash.
- Then I'll spray Windex on a micro-fiber cloth and clean the windows, wiping them dry with a dry micro-fiber cloth.
- Then I'll apply RainX to the windows and wipe off with a damp cloth. Immediately after the damp cloth I'll dry with a paper towel.
This method has worked well to eliminate streaks on the outside, but I cannot find a method and/or product which gets rid of streaks on the inside of the windows. Any suggestions?

Try windex and newspaper. I'm not quite sure why it works so well, but this is how my mom taught me to clean the windows in the house. Streak-free everytime. Don't overuse a sheet though. As soon as it starts getting damp, use another sheet. Try it.

Sprayway is the way to go, especially if you have tinted windows. This stuff doesn't contain ammonia which will damage tint. Dries streak free and works like a charm.

Diamondites three step process is amazing and is perfect for windows. If you dont want to do all three steps you can just use the glass cleaner that is a foam based. It cleans everything and NO STREAKS guranteed especially if you use a microfiber designed for glass treatment. I thought a glass microfiber towel would be over rated but I was really impressed with how well it worked with the Diamondite. http://secure.detailedimage.com/Merc...ory_Code=Glass
