JUST FINISHED 1ST CRYSTAL GUARD QUICK APPLICATION (w/ PICS)
JUST FINISHED 1ST CRYSTAL GUARD QUICK APPLICATION (w/ PICS)
Well, I literally JUST finished. The whole time I was applying the CG Quick, I was saying to myself, "is this stuff even doing anything?". I mean I'm so used to "seeing" where I applied. This stuff is invisible. I felt like all I was doing was drying my car with a microfiber applicator pad!
So after my first experience, here are some questions that I have:
1.) My applicator pad was SOAKED after just a short while. I felt like I needed to squeeze out the excess water before starting another section/panel. Is this the correct method, or am I supposed to leave it soaked?
2.) I noticed a couple of spots on my car (tar maybe) that didn't come out in the wash and seemed embedded into the paint (clay should take care of it). Is it OK to clay in those areas, or do I need to remove CG first before claying those areas?
3.) I avoided using CG on the headlights and tailights because of some advice from a detailer. He says that the plastic in the headlights/tailights has more elasticity than, say, the plastic grille; and that CG works only well on firm surfaces. Is this true?
Here are the pics (sorry for the mess in my garage)...

Email to Kathy at info@CrystalGuard.com. You can find her email address from http://www.crystalguard.com/contact.html. She will help you for the order. However, the official Crystal Guard Website is down. It is still under construction. Hope it helps!
I use the crystal guard wash and quick on my ride each time.. It always leaves me smiling when i run my hand over the finish and feel how smooth like glass it is... I have used it at least 10 times and have well over 3/4 of bottle left.. The whole set with microfiber cloth only cost $50.. A great deal if you ask me... I recommend to all if you can afford, get the first time professionally done with warrenty... Great for the winter when the elements really wreck havok on the cars....
