so, say some idiot, had water spots on his window that he couldn't get out (and no, he didn't use vinegar yet
), so he used sotch-brite scouring pads (the greenies) and scratched 'em all up, how would he go about fixing it? thanks for your help, he really appreciates it
ps-yeah yeah, he=me

I hate to admit it, but I used those things once (not on my G) to get off a concrete-like substance off my front window. Dumb@*** move. Thankfully, the girl that bought my car didn't notice it.
As for what to do? - I can't wait to hear a productive response. In the meantime, I feel for you.

You should be able to compound those out. I know EastwoodCo makes a glass polishing kit. It may be an involved process though regardless. Probably will take some time. You also wanna be careful that when you do it, you are careful with the amount of heat the polisher may build up and do not apply too much pressure on the glass obviously. Without seeing the scratches it will be tough to tell. But try compounding it out with a course grit compound then work your way to finer n finer compounds. What's the worse that can happen? Your other resort is take it to a professional high quality detailer and see what they say.

Try claying it first then compound it! Just be sure to tap all around the window and be sure not to get any on the paint! You may be better off using a firm foam hand applicator with the compound to get it out. Expect it to take a while, but it may save ya some money!
