Porter-Cable 7424 Buffer: Ever Used It?
Porter-Cable 7424 Buffer: Ever Used It?
I'm seriously considering getting an electric buffer for applying polishes and waxes. It seems the industry standard is the Porter-Cable 7424. Has anyone used a power buffer, specifically the Porter-Cable? If so, what are your thoughts? Does it do a better job than hand polishing and waxing?

I'm a detailer and i use the Porter and I'm very pleased with the results. I don't know if its that much better than others but it definitely works well. The difference between doing it by hand or using a Porter is you get a more even distribution of products and pressure. Its difficult to apply constant and even pressure with your hand. If you get the Porter you will still have to go back and do quite a few spots by hand. Good luck and let us know how it works out for you.
