HELP - My G is Ruined!

Re: HELP - My G is Ruined!
Yah see ..thats what made me wanna get a z....
that would make me find a shovel and rusty ol machette.. annd...
I would go to a place that can glue it back together ...
the places that do leather covering over cloth seats etc.
the glue and work they can do these days will make that virtually invisible.
Is it on a seam or not.... if on the seam .... easy fix with stich... not on the seam ..
dependant on where you live .... In Canada we have places like Ziebart ..who I believe will do it..
I would be wondering if it was done intentionally.... think about it ..thats leather... new ... not brittle ... not easy to rip ..
what the HELL.?
i'd make em flip any costs ..plus cover his own medical bills thereafter of course
later man

Re: HELP - My G is Ruined!
You can either buy a replacement part for the back seat, or have a shop replace the back seat for you. Get a quote on both, you will be surise how cheap it may be (at the shop). My friend did his whole honda for a $1000. I was impress with the work. So I assume the back seat (the part that ripped) might be around 200-300 bucks.

I agree, dosen't sound like an accident to me, 3" is huge. Leather is a tough material. It would take a serious sharp object to make that. How close are these "friends"???
Check under upholstry in the phone book. A shop can mend it or at least replace that portion of the seat for you.

Sorry, not sure I quite buy into MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder). I know my limits and I prefer treating with a reasonable prognosis. That way my success rate goes up!
Dally, if you're dissociating, you need some 'Level 1' grounding and coping skills. Otherwise just stop smokin' that stuff you've been doin'!

Re: HELP - My G is Ruined!
I had thought that this was a universal Infiniti thing, but maybe it's just my dealer...?
I was offered (and gratefully accepted) an insurance policy for the leather interior when I bought the car. Check to be sure, is it possible you have the same thing? It's about 500 bucks or so, but it covers the entire interior for 5 years, unlimited mileage - anything happens to it - anything at all, including cigarette burns, cuts, scrapes, grenade going off in the car (well, maybe not that), whatever, they fix it FOR FREE.
Not that I'm any less fanatical about the leather, but lemme tell you (as I'm SURE you're finding out) that peace of mind is WELL worth the $500 price tag - because just one repair more than pays for the cost of the warranty.
