They mostly form by improper washing and drying technique, and since you have black they will be very noticeable.

You have 3 options. Hide them, remove them, or just forget about them...

Those are the options... well BlackonBlackG35 already used an orbital which you should try out too.

Car washes with bristles are huge NO NO if thats the kind your talking about. Some cars have swirls on them when they get to the dealer. I went to my local chevy dealer and noticed tons of swirls on the brand new corvettes and I wasn't impressed with the paint.
You can get rid of a lot of the swirls or greatly diminish them with some polish. I recomend using Poorboys Super Swirl Remover 2.5 followed by the SSR 1.0 and then a coat of wax. Here is a list of good polishes including those mentioned http://secure.detailedimage.com/Merc...ry_Code=Polish . I can't stand swirls and scratches so I make sure to get them out asap if I can. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

there are lots of detailing websites w/ tips on how to avoid swirls. Some tips are:
-use a new lambswool mitt and use a 2 bucket technique (1 w/ suds, 1 for rinse),
-use straight motions instead of circle patterns
-use only light pressure on the paint (do not press down!)
-oh and rule #1, wash in the shade on a cool car to avoid soap drying up

Swirls are all too common amongst cars.
