debadged mine

I bought some googone at walmart, used the dental floss and all. Instead of a hair drier I used hot water. The hotter the better, it worked better with near boiling, I just poored it over the letters to heat em up good. Problem is, after debadging the G35, you can still see where the letters used to be. I dunno if this is from paint aging or what. I have not yet waxed, so maybe that will fix it.

What about it sitting on a boat while traveling from Japan to the US? The Badges would have had plenty of time to "setup" so to speak.

You must have gotten lucky or something!??

I want to take off G35 and INIFNITI too, G35 especially. The 5 has a sharp point that kills my microfiber towels! Im affraid to damage my paint or something while removing, therefore, I havent done it.

Using a hair drier, what temperature do you set it to and how much time do you have to heat it? No chance of it ruining the paint?

Same here...Works great..

For the most part everything on here should allow you to debadge safely. If you used the goo gone or any other products sometimes there is still a film there or discoloration because of UV fading, etc. If you use some polish that has very fine abrasiveness like Poorboys SSR 1.0 it will take off any excess remains and blend the paint to look perfect again. I've done this for numerous people and you can never tell there was badges there in the first place. As always anytime you use a Polish, adhesive remover, goo gone, etc make sure you clean it and wax it after.

It would be much easier to buy the INFINITI and G35 emblems which are held in proper position by styrofoam instead of trying to reinstall the letters and numerals one-by-one and get the spacing and alignment right.
